Reflect back on your perfect mountain day with a soak under the stars in the rooftop hot tub or enjoy a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub at Purgatory Lodge, next door.

  • “The room was perfect for me and two kids. Everything was clean and mindfully curated for families to stay/cook/clean up after themselves. The staff at this lodge are people I will never forget. There was so much enthusiasm. We came as new people to all things snow related. When you tell anyone around this lodge that you are a first timer, they all but roll out a red welcome mat. Not only were we new, I was traveling with a special needs child. I didn't require any special accommodations, but the enthusiasm and help sure felt extra. Snow cat tour staff deserve the highest sentiments, including the photographers. If you want to come here and you don't know how to get on a snow lift, you will be met with only the enthusiasm to share a wonderful experience. Staff walked us to the lifts and happily instructed us like cheerleaders. All my children wanted for Christmas was a “winter adventure”, and in spite of any connotation the name “purgatory” carries, this was truly a paradise. This has to be the happiest place on earth I've ever been. Everyone seems to carry so much joy and enthusiasm. I came expecting to only be wooed by the mountains but the staff are the true MVPs to the overall experience!”

  • “Room was great! So glad we had a couple days of snowfall! Skiing was great except when Angels Tread (green) left me no option but to go down a double-black-diamond slope (mostly on my Gluteous Maximus!) Hallway/elevator smelled like spoiled seafood?? And the firewood was sooooo green it would not burn. We nursed it for hours! Overall it was a great and relaxing vacations with just a couple of hiccups. 😉”
