On April 13, 2023, Mountain Capital Partners announced that it will purchase Lee Canyon ski resort located just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, from POWDR Corporation, the leading adventure lifestyle company, and POWDR’s local partner, the Thomas Family.
Lee Canyon, a year-round mountain resort located just 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada offers 445 acres of lift-served and hiking terrain, 27 trails accessed via three chairlifts, 250 acres of hike-to terrain, access to summer hiking trails, and mountain biking trails.
What makes Lee Canyon so special!
- Southern Nevada’s only ski resort
- Its year-round escape from the heat and glitz of Vegas: Lee Canyon offers skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping, and tubing from December to March. In the summer months, the resort features downhill mountain biking, horseback riding, scenic chairlift rides, hiking, disc golf, mountainside yoga, and wildlife viewing.

Why did MCP acquire Lee Canyon?
Lee Canyon is a unique year-round resort in a fun location – less than an hour from Las Vegas. It’s located less than four hours from Brian Head Resort and just five hours from Arizona Snowbowl, not to mention 60 miles from the Harry Reid International Airport. We knew our Power Pass guests would appreciate having access to this mountain, and we’re eager to bring our purpose, Give People the Freedom to Ski, to guests in southern Nevada and the surrounding area. be upgraded to include Lee Canyon.

Where is Lee Canyon?

Will this affect my Power Pass?
2023/2024 Power Pass guests will be upgraded to include Lee Canyon.
Can I use my Power Pass product at Lee Canyon this spring?
Not at this time. 2023/2024 Power Pass products will be eligible to use beginning winter 2023/2024. Power Pass products with bike park benefits will be accepted beginning this summer. If this changes, we will communicate that update with you.
