Thanks to consistently cold temperatures and a series of storms this week that cumulatively brought over a foot of fresh snow, our snowmaking teams have been able to make some great progress across the mountain. Crews have been able to open additional terrain today (El Diablo, Sa’s Psyche and Upper Bank), building base depths and setting us up for even more terrain expansion for the weekend.
By this Saturday, if all goes to plan, we’ll be skiing top-to-bottom on Upper and Lower Demon as well. It’s a big milestone and an exciting step forward as we continue expanding our available terrain.
Daytime temperatures are forecasted to rise into early next week, but snowmaking will continue nightly across the resort, with focus moving to Boogie to the bottom of Hermosa Park Express (Lift 3).
The progress we’ve seen over the past week has been extremely encouraging, and conditions on the mountain right now are shaping up nicely. It’s a great time to get out and enjoy some early-season turns as terrain continues to open.
To give guests a real-time look at what’s happening higher up on the mountain, we’ve also launched our new high-definition streaming snow stake camera, which lets you check current conditions and snowfall as it happens.
We’ll keep sharing updates through our Snow Report, newsletters, and social channels as terrain continues to open. For the most up-to-date info, check back here on The Purgspective and make sure you have the Purgatory app downloaded before you arrive.
We’ll see you out on the mountain.
