Group Lessons

Where do we meet?

All levels meet in the Columbine Beginner Area. A member of guest services will direct you toward the meetup location. Look for the Ski School signs.

Who will be in my group?

We break down classes by discipline, age and ability. We strive to keep class sizes to a maximum of 5. Contact Ski & Snowboard School for private lesson options.

How do you determine ability levels?

Our instructors complete a verbal assessment determining what terrain and skills you are comfortable with. For higher levels, a skills assessment will be done to ensure you’re placed in the correct group. Take your own pre-assessment here.

Can I watch my child’s lesson?

We want to make the most of our time on the snow. Parents can often be distracting to their child’s class engagement and can take away from other participants’ experiences. We ask parents to respect this class dynamic and save interactions until after the lesson.

What is flaik?

flaik is a GPS-based alpine guest tracking system. Children enrolled in lift-served lessons will be equipped with a lightweight locator. The Ski & Snowboard School staff uses this technology to track their students’ progress. Images are captured multiple times per second, allowing detailed analysis of location and turn shape. Parents and children can review and re-live the day at the end of the lesson. This system ensures increased safety and peace of mind for both parents and instructors.

Can my 4-year-old join group ski lessons?

We have a strict age limit for our group lessons. Younger students require one-on-one attention and help from instructors that take away from other participants in the lesson. We offer private one-on-one lessons as an alternative option. Must be potty trained.

Private lessons

How do I schedule a private lesson?

Please check back for more information on how to schedule a private lesson for the 2022/2023 season. Reservations are required at least 72 hours in advance.

Where do we meet?

All levels meet in the Base Area.

Can my friends and family take a private lesson with me?

For those looking to build their own group, we offer a Friends and Family lesson. For the best experience, groups should be similar in age & ability. Groups must be the same discipline and no more than five participants per instructor.

Can I request an instructor?

Yes! You can request your favorite instructor for a private lesson when filling out the private lesson request form. Our instructors book up quickly, but we will try our hardest to fulfill your request.
