Valle Nevado

The Andes mountains are big – very big! Located only 90 minutes from the capital of Chile, Santiago – Valle Nevado has a base of over 9,000+ ft, with plenty of long, wide runs overlooking Santiago. On top of that, the mountain offers the largest amount of terrain and the most modern lift system in the southern hemisphere. Valle Nevado actually means “snowy valley” in Spanish.

Valle Nevado could be considered a playground for some of the biggest names in skiing and snowboarding, hosting Olympic teams every year from Austria, USA, Canada, Norway, Italy and more. It wouldn’t be too out of the blue to hop on a chairlift with one of the most famous faces in skiing and snowboarding. After all, it’s a known fact you have got to pay a visit in August and mid September.

And the apres scene? After the lifts close at 5pm, you can head over to the heated pool, grab the infamous frosty pisco sour cocktail, relax, and watch a gorgeous Chilean sunset over the mountains.

Valle Nevado’s lowest hotel rates of the year drop in April, but they won’t last long. With limited availability and peak season demand just around the corner, there’s no better time to plan your summer skiing trip!

La Parva

Traverse over to the next door neighbor resort, La Parva, and experience incredible terrain almost as large as Valle Nevado.

With over 40 km of skiable terrain and 15 ski lifts, its 40 plus slopes are chosen year after year by mountain-loving skiers, both national and international, ranging from beginners to world-class competitors. Thanks to its FIS-approved downhill slopes, it is chosen as a training center by international teams such as the United States, France, and Slovakia, among others.

With five restaurants with various cuisine, including grilled meats, pizzas, and French cuisine, the apres scene is one you won’t want to miss. In addition to incredible skiing terrain, La Parva boasts 1,000 private shelters and condominiums that ensure a availability of 6,000 beds during the winter season for all mountain enthusiasts!

Still curious about why La Parva is so sick? In addition to its incredible snow and skiing/riding terrain, La Parva is characterized as a paradise for freeride and backcountry enthusiasts, skiing modalities that require preparation, equipment, and mountain knowledge. More and more national and international skiers are encouraged to enjoy the FACE or the Chimenea, iconic lines of La Parva that for years have attracted the best riders in the world. Check out the prestigious media Powder Quest, which highlights La Parva’s accessibility to off-piste skiing, the quality of its slopes, and its vertical drop.
