Manage Sales Supervisors/Leads daily. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, training, promotion, transfers, disciplinary discussions, and terminations. With the partnership of the Rental/Retail/Ski School managers may indirectly supervise staff within these departments.

Manage and monitor operating labor and expense budgets, capital expenditures, and sales office equipment/supply purchases. Develop and maintain an organized schedule that ensures appropriate staffing levels. Maintain effective communications between all levels of staff and other departments.

Develop and implement training that ensures a quality product and positive customer service experience, responds positively and quickly to customer concerns, and initiates corrective action through good communication and improved processes/procedures to ensure customer satisfaction. Leads employee engagement and development efforts, ensuring employees are valued and empowered to serve Purgatory guests.

Monitor product pricing/revenue to maximize visits and revenue within the sales envelope. Work with the partnership of the Rental/Retail/Ski School managers and supervisors to maximize reservation sales.

Liaise with MCP and Purgatory leadership, HR, Marketing, IT, and Group Sales to service ticketing, season-pass needs. Help with product feedback and development by evaluating products and services through staff and customer feedback, comments, and surveys.

Implement, and ensure compliance with all MCP/Purgatory company accounting policies and procedures. Take disciplinary action as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: A leader with high emotional intelligence, a selfless leader, with a passion for skiing/snowboarding. Knowledge of current ski area sales/reservation operations, ski/snowboard instruction concepts, ski area rental operations, and retail operations. Understanding of human and business management practices. Solid accounting skills. Alertness, precision, ingenuity, problem-solving, analytic ability, spatial perception, persuasiveness, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and visual discrimination, memory, creativity, concentration, judgment, reasoning, imagination, initiative, patience, and strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary abilities.

Education and Experience: High school diploma required, college degree preferred. Resort sales operations experience or related field is required, and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Proficient knowledge and experience with the Google Suite software platforms and Siriusware are required.
