Mushroom Foray

The morning of day 2 of the Purgatory Mushroom festival:
Join expert guides who will lead you around the forests above Purgatory Resort on a mycological adventure! These woods are known for having a wide variety of mushrooms. During the hunt, the guides will educate you about edible vs. non-edible mushrooms, techniques for finding mushrooms, and any other questions you have. Complimentary wine and snacks are included.
Space is limited and this event sells out every year.
Guests will meet in the plaza at 9:00 am to check in and sign waivers. At 9:10 am, guests and guides will head to the Purgatory Express (lift one), take the scenic ride up, and explore the wooded area behind the top terminal of lift one for a fun mycological adventure. Afterwards, complimentary wine, refreshments, and light snacks will be provided at the Durango Mountain Institute patio.
