Holiday Events & Activities Guide
There’s nothing better than enjoying the holiday season in a winter wonderland. Make this holiday season one to remember! Enjoy awesome skiing, rides on the mountain coaster, tubing, a torchlight parade and fireworks! Purgatory has some of the best holiday traditions around that you’ll want to enjoy with your loved ones.
Santa found some time out of his busy schedule to swing by the Purgatory Base area! Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be giving out candy canes, and finding out who’s been naughty or nice. Make sure to come by from 2:00pm-3:30pm on Wednesday, December 22. The kids will love it!
New Years Eve Torchlight Parade and FIREWORKS!
Purgatory’s favorite holiday tradition! From 6:00pm-6:30pm at the Base Area, patrollers and ski instructors will be coming down the mountain, lighting up the night with bright torchlights. Once the parade has finished, make sure you stick around for the fireworks show! Continue the celebration at Purgy’s, where the bar and cafeteria will be open until midnight and will conclude the festivities with a champagne toast.
Inferno Mountain Coaster
Get your adrenaline going with the Inferno Mountain Coaster! Fly down the mountain 40 feet in the air as fast as 25 miles per hour (You can control the cart’s speed with a hand brake)! The Inferno Mountain Coaster is great for those who may not ski, OR those that just want to experience flying through trees with beautiful views. Available on the weekends.
