We had a fun-filled weekend at Purgatory with lots of sun and bluebird conditions! Just for fun, we held a little celebration. If you missed out on some of the festivities this weekend, you can still enjoy the hot air balloon glow and fireworks display during Helluva Weekend.
The weekend kicked off Friday evening with tubing followed by an impressive hot air balloon glow as the night set in on the San Juan Mountains! The views of the sunset at Purgatory are epic!
Then on Saturday, USASA Southwest Colorado Series hosted its first Boardercross/Ski Cross at Purgatory Resort! The USASA team totally knocked our socks off during their competition, it was quite impressive! They will return next week for a halfpipe competition.
Additionally, we had live music with Leah Orlikowski and we celebrated the evening with a spectacular fireworks display over the slopes! There is no better way to wrap up a day of skiing or snowboarding than with fireworks.
